Round Robin Photo Challenge: Favorite Toy

TRAINS!

This week I decided to showcase Far Guys Favorite Toy! His Lionel Train Set, he got the entire used set for Christmas back in 1957. All that remained in his later years was the engine and the coal tender, the other cars have been purchased here and there. He finally got the opportunity to set his train up again after I moved out of my office upstairs. He enjoys going upstairs to play! It is a work in progress, he wanted to get the Train up and running to show the Grandkids when they were here over Christmas.

I am off to see what other toys are being featured today by the other Robins. Thanks to Karen at Outpost Mavarin for this challenge:)

  1. Hi Connie :)

Lionel Trains are a true Christmas classic! My father had a very old set of trains, and every Christmas he put the whole set, along with the little trees and buildings, under the tree. It was quite a magical sight. You photographed your trains perfectly. Nice angles and perspectives. What a fun entry!

    Always, Carly

  2. I have a train table in my spare room where my late husband had his trains set up as a boy. And my grandson Noah looooves trains, at 6, and always has. They are great toys for a guy of any age! Very nice entry!

  3. These are great trains and great pictures of trains. When I was young, my neighborhood friend's parents owned a toy store. With parents who were toy store owners, my friends were able to have the nicest and latest of the toys of the fifties. I too wanted a train like theirs, but my parents could not afford such a train set for their daughter. I am glad that your favorite guy has this wonderful train and has a place to keep his train too. :)

  6. Despite being more than 50 years old, the train still's in good condition! Amazing.
