Macro Monday: Indian Corn

Indian Corn..is is edible but it is mainly used for decorations in the Autumn of the year.  It is a variety of flint corn that is very hard..kinda like popcorn, but Indian  Corn can be ground into flour.  Check out more macros at Sunday Stills Macro Monday :)

  4. I always buy Indian corn at the fall festivals and hang it in an Autumn display. I like the variety of colors. I didn't know it could be ground into flour.

  6. Lovely! Our Oaxacan Green Dent corn was not so pretty. Especially after the mice found it drying in the greenhouse. Yours says Autumn to me!

  7. I saw the colored pop corn at the store the other day and almost bought it. Your photo looks great. I need to bring mine in before the squirrels walk off with it.

  11. I started out reading this assuming that you were speaking of Native American Indian corn; but when I read the description? Nup. She's talkin' about corn grown here: hard and chewy and inedible and FORGET IT!! lol....got my imported corn growing in the garden now, the soft, sweet, buttery yellow corn I love so much....mmmmmmmmmm :)
