The Bloggers Community Photo Challenge: Flowers

How could I pass up a challenge that has flowers in it! This is my entry for The Bloggers Community Photo Challenge, by the way, you all do a wonderful job..thank you!

This is a photo I took on June 13, 2010.  These are the Minnesota State Flower, the Showy Lady's Slipper, they bloom every year in mid June around Father's Day.  This photo made me smile with the little bug peeking over the top of the flower:)

Connie, I jumped over to the site and this sounds like fun...I let them know per comment that others can also send their flower photos into my free photo contest too...it's okay if they enter both..it will be fun. I hope you enter this one or another to my flower contest before the 30th...it is gorgeous! I joined on to the site above as a Follower now! Thanks!

  5. It is a winner. I guess the dandelions that I have won't match up at all. I really do admire all your lady slipper photos.

  6. Connie, I remember wandering in the woods of NJ as a child and seeing these. I never see them growing wild anymore, but am so glad you've still got them. Lovely photo of a beautiful flower. Thanks so much for sharing it.

  10. What a pretty flower and I love the bug also. Sometimes I don't see the bugs in my shots until after I download them, a added bonus.
