Sunday Stills : Bokeh

The Sunday Stills Challenge this week was bokeh.   Simply stated bokeh is the out of focus part of a photo.

Sedum and bokeh Nov 26 2011

This was my best shot outside..the wind was howling like a banshee again yesterday.

How about some summer shots?

Liatris and Bokeh

Liatris and a bee in August of 2011.

Lupine and bokeh

Lupine with Veronica Blue Bouquet providing the bokeh.   Did you know that bokeh and bouquet are pronounced the same..BOH- kay.

Sometimes I get accidental bokeh.  Like this photo taken in September of 2011.

accidental bokeh Sept 2011

Sometimes  I get Chance bokeh!

Roses frosty

Have a great week everyone:)

  1. Beautiful photos, and my English isn't good enough to explain how I find your photos, but I like them...

  5. I like the "accidental" bokeh. Always nice to see flowers too, brightens up a grey November day.

  6. I had a similar problem, but luckily it was only a light breeze. Great splash of color (it's currently very gray and pouring).

  7. I love the brown and frost this time of year. I used to be fairly uninspired after the leaves dropped. But I love the seed heads and dried grasses and the strong light. Lovely photos today!

  9. Cool shots! You did good, girl. I didn't like any I took so I didn't jump in this time.

  10. Those are really pretty!!! I might like taking more photos with expertise if I had a tutor. I like being taught one-on-one because you can progress faster! As always, thanks for sharing!

  11. Yes when the wind is blowing you have to get so creative. I have photos with my hand it grasping the stem to keep it from whipping back and forth.
