Sunday Stills:Cats

The challenge this week was Cats.  Cats are more difficult than dogs.  Dogs will sit and stay and cats just do their own thing.  I photographed the neighbors cat.

Her name is Sophie.  She is the cat that welcomes you to the farm yard.  She runs up and meows a few times and hisses at Chance and then she sits someplace and watches his every movement!

Sophie’s long whiskers.

The new camera is a bit frustrating at times.  I am practicing every day.  Have a good week everyone:)

  1. Nice pictures.
Their independence is the main thing that makes me prefer cats to dogs. I really love their attitude.

  5. Good for you learning the camera. By this time next year, most everything about it will be second nature to you! That's a pretty kitty.

  6. And you are doing a great job, one day that camera will feel like a old friend, you won't have to think before setting anything.

    Great shots.

  12. I should take a picture of all the cats around this place. I think the neighbor has about 8 (and I saw a few kittens poking their heads out.) And we also have TONS of feral cats running around - and as soon as my dad visits this weekend, bringing his live-trap cage there will be LESS feral cats (and maybe some neighbor cats too). And yes, we will take some to be spayed/neutered at the feral cat society.
