Every month I enter a photograph in a photo contest..last months theme was Nostalgia. I entered this photo!
I won! Thanks Joan at The Retirement Chronicles for this monthly challenge! Anyone can join, just follow the rules..this month challenge is Bridges. Here is a link to all the Nostalgia entries.
I took this inside the old teenage hangout in town..it is no longer a hangout for teens. It is now a place for old people like my husband and I who used to go there all the time when we were much younger:)
Congrats Connie! Boy does your photo bring back lots of memories. When I was in high school, we would go to the local hangout and order a cherry Coke and a honey bun!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats - what a great picture. Good ol Schmieders! Like above, my fav was Cherry Coke!
ReplyDeleteSo the place is still doing business. That is so cool. Love the place and I would be so nostalgic. Congrats on the photo win.
ReplyDelete....and you should have....it is AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteCongrats and kudos !! I love this photo! Ahhhh, the good ole days :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful!!!!! And so deserving of being a winnenr, that is a great shot.

Congrats! Great photo and glad it led me to your blog :-)
ReplyDeleteCongrats - wonderful job Connie ---- and this is a great picture.... I was able to get in on the tail end of this business venue when Mr. Schmider was there - I was I believe in middle school and would go there for lunch-- hotdogs!
ReplyDeleteI expected it to win. It is great! I remember scenes like this up town but they destroyed them many years ago. Ironically it is now an antique store and flower shop.
ReplyDeleteI agree, this is a winner. Brings back memories of a local spot in our town when I was young. Couldn't wait for Saturday to come to go to Lang's for a coney, cherry coke and chocolate marshmallow sundae - yummy! Thanks for sharing.
