The Sunday Stills Challenge this week was shorelines.  Well since Minnesota is land of 10,000 or more lakes here are a few from this week.

Sunday Stills: Birds

The Sunday Stills Challenge this week is birds.  We have lots of Bald Eagles in the area.  They are always out hunting for road kill.

We also have Wild Turkeys.

Most of our summer birds have migrated out.  We still have Nuthatches, Chickadees and Woodpeckers that will stay the entire winter.   I think they are relieved to have the place to themselves after the “tourist” birds left.

More than likely Canada Geese heading south.

Sunday Stills: Watershots

The challenge this week was watershots.   I live in Minnesota.  We have 10,000 lakes, but I chose to head down to the river to get some photos.

  The Water Lilies are just about done.

Down at Heartland Park I found these Canada Geese on Fishhook River.  That is the old water tower in the background.

I moved over a few feet and captured the new water tower.
