Well Carly at Ellipsis certainly did challenge me this week. First of all our days of sun were few and far between. December 03, FINALLY the sun was shining. Could I capture something? Well I did..actually I captured two somethings..and you have to promise not to laugh at my second something..OK??
Remember you promised...
OK go ahead, I will forgive you. LAUGH!! The light nearly blinded me. I have captioned this photograph "How not to shoot a sunset" Those rays of light even turned part of the ice on the lake red. I must be an idiot for sharing my failures. Oh well :)
::Going to get my sunglasses:: There now, that's better. It was blinding even in the photo - but it's a cool shot, nothing laughable about it. I hope I have a chance to play along.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend! Oh and tell far guy I said hi :-)
Hi Connie :)
ReplyDeleteWhy oh why would I laugh? It's a beautiful shot. I like the little beads of light, it makes the whole scene just pop with color! We only get to see the autumn sun for a couple more weeks, sigh (Frowny face) so your photo is a wonderful treat that shows exactly why I am so in love with autumn. Thanks for playing, and showing us such beauty!
Hugs, Carly
I really like the simplicity of the first image with the lone power pole. It really works with the stark surroundings, and the power lines keep the viewer's eyes in the frame. This is a very good shot. The second one....well, it isn't that terrible...you are just suffering from some lens flare because of the intensity of the sun. The idea for the shot was sound though.
ReplyDeleteI like both shots very well. The effect of the second is quite fascinating! BTW, I am a new player this week.
ReplyDeleteYah, that first one is stunning in its starkness. The second is so interesting - why the five blobs of light, and that little glow up in the tree branches - what is that?
ReplyDeleteSo what do you think you'd do different next time?
I really like the first one, and the second one isn't too different than mine; so it must be good! :)
ReplyDeleteSimple serenity and simple chaos side by side. For me they belong together especially at this time of the year :)
ReplyDeleteGREAT photo! It has a great mood to it. I'm loving your pics
ReplyDeleteOh, but I love these! The colors are beautifully subtle in the first shot, and lens flares on the second one make an interesting shot even more so. Neato, as a friend of mine likes to say!
