This weeks challenge was a potluck..I had a hard time choosing.
Eagles beak to beak last Sunday afternoon..November 28, 2010. That would be a deer carcass, these eagles had been hanging around this carcass which is in the field across from our driveway..then they left..last weekend when the lake froze over they returned to feast.
This is my best Whitetail Deer photo this week. I took this one through the windshield on Friday December 03, 2010 in our driveway.
I took this one last night, Saturday December 04, 2010. We attended a dinner to raise funds for a young couple that lost their home and all their belongings in a house fire this Fall. He was a Fireman, as is my husband…I used to be a volunteer Fireperson too..now it is best left for the younger generation as far as I am concerned. ( The cause for the fire might have been a brand new malfunctioning gas furnace in a newly built home..the fire followed all the ductwork throughout the home..luckily no one was hurt.)
I put my gloves on the hood of the car to steady my camera..it was snowing..I liked the reflection of the fire trucks lights in the hood of the car. The fire truck was parked out near the road at the Fire Hall where the dinner was held:)
All three pics are great Connie but I really like the firetruck and its reflection. That's a terrible tragedy for the couple to lose everything right here at Christmas.
ReplyDeletethey are all really good photos

ReplyDeleteGreat photos, but those first two are amazing! You're so lucky to have such beautiful wildlife right outside your door.

ReplyDeleteGreat shot of the eagles, and I love the light reflections in the last shot. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhen you said potluck I first thought about the eagles eating and wondered if they brought a casserole along for their part of the feast. Then I realize it was a potluck of photos.
