Sunday Stills: Vintage

The Sunday Stills Challenge this week was Vintage.  Since I am the Director of the Local Historical Museum I work with Vintage everyday all day. Everything in the building is old..including me!
Cash Register
Researching this cash register is on my list of things to do.  For now it sits in the Toggery.

Here is a photo taken last summer of the Museum.  It was build in 1900 and was occupied as a County Courthouse until 1976. A new Courthouse was built next door.  In 1977 it became the County Historical Museum.

This is where you can find me from May 1st to September 30..except Sunday and Monday..those are my days off, so the museum is closed.
Have a good week everyone:)

  2. YOU are NOT vintage or old! I love the old cash registers....they have such character. Something to be said for pride in workmanship on those.

  10. I have a friend uptown who owns an antique and hardware store. He uses the cash register that is similar. The IRS came in on him because he uses it because it doesn't keep written records. He still uses it for the change and has it for show among the antiques things he sells.
