Macro Monday: Crabapples
These are Crabapples, they are smaller than a golf ball and you can pickle them or cook them up and strain off the juice and make Crabapple Jelly. These were in my daughters back yard in August of 2009. Ed suggested that we start off a fruity Sunday Stills week with a fruity macro..good thing I could go to my archives! Check out what everyone else came up with here:)

Macro Monday: Cooking Companion
This is a little rooster that my husband gave me for Christmas. This little rooster sits in my windowsill, he makes me smile. Anything that makes me smile in the kitchen is worth it's weight in gold! Check out more macros here:)

Sunday Stills: Valentine's
The Sunday Stills Challenge this week was Valentine's. I chose to make a card..eat your heart out Hallmark.
These are White Bleeding Hearts or Dicenta eximia 'Snowdrift'. Up here this particular variety blooms all summer long if they have enough moisture. Have a great day everyone:)

Macro Monday: A Wild Rose
Ah it is snowing here and it has been since Saturday night. I am in denial..so I found this little Wild Rose, it was a photo I took at my parents house in July..it says summer and warmth to me..not winter and snow and cold. Check out more macros here:)

Sunday Stills: Salsa
The Sunday Stills Challenge was a little difficult for me. Food photography is a real art. I do have an interesting small bowl for salsa. I received it as a gift one winter when I watched the neighbors dog while they were enjoying some Mexican sunshine.
I do like chips and salsa..
Now bring on the margarita's...
Check out more salsa at Sunday Stills..have a great week everyone:)

Macro Monday: A Rose
I couldn't stand it anymore, I had to post a flower. This is Morden Rose 'Blush' it is a Canadian rose and extremely hardy, my daughter has a whole row of them at her house. I am always in charge of pruning them. They seen to thrive on neglect and the rough play of two little boys and their friends. The bud is pink, as it opens it fades to pale pink, and by the time it is fully open it is almost white. I took this photo in June of 2009. Check out more macros here:)
