This weeks Sunday Stills Challenge was purple, the color of royalty.
These are Clematis that were at my Mothers last July.
This is my best purple shot this week. This is a relatively unknown and underused plant. It's common name is Painted Sage. It is Salvia horminium "Claryssa'. It really does not have a bloom, but very colorful bracts:)
What a beautiful flower. I've never seen one before. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteVery lovely plant...and the clematis is one of my favorite flowers. Great shots.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a garden it would have a long trellis full with Clematis. Love the Painted Sage, too - must look for it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. The Painted Sage is quite unusual, very lovely.
