Sunday Stills: Day In The Life
The Sunday Stills Challenge this week was a day in the life in four photos. Easy, peasy..I lead a pretty easy life. I get up what ever time I want and do what ever I want to during the day..I enjoy retirement! Almost everyday Chance and I take off..either on foot or in the car to enjoy the out of doors and see what we can find to photograph. So here is just a little of our adventure yesterday March 27, 2010. We had a nap late in the day..so we went out after supper, which my husband so graciously cooked..because he likes to eat. The Moon was out in one direction, we drove out onto the prairie to enjoy the sunset..saw some deer, I caught Chance in the fading light of the sunset and the sunset. It was another good day in Minnesota:)

Sunday Stills: Orange
The Sunday Stills Challenge this week was Orange. I love orange it is a cheerful color!
Here is the sunset that I missed last week, because of the rainy cloudy weather. It is also very orange. I took this photo last night.

One of my favorite Orange foods..in the grocery store yesterday. I get lots of strange looks when I am in the produce department.
And finally an Orange flower..I think that this is some kind of a Poppy. ( An Icelandic Poppy) I took this photo last summer.
Have a great week everyone:)

Macro Monday: Poop on a Branch
Welcome to Macro Monday. This is Black Knot or Apiosporina morbosa. Or Poop on a branch. It is a common fungal disease on Prunus species..Wild Plums, and Cherries mainly. Now is the time to prune it out of your shrubs..prune 6 to 8 inches away from the knot. It will eventually kill your shrub. So you learned something new today about poop on a branch:)

Sunday Stills : Sunsets or Sunrises
The Sunday Stills Challenge was Sunsets or Sunrises..well you have to be able to see the sun for it to rise or set. I did not see the sun last week, it rained, and rained..it was warm so much of our snow melted!
Here is the view in the direction that the sun would have been setting. Watery and shades of grey and brown.
You will just have to imagine the sunset colors:)

Sunday Stills: Actual Numbers
The Sunday Stills challenge was to find some actual numbers. Well I found some, I am not sure what Ed had in mind..but this is what was in my mind. I took these photos in November..along a favorite fence line of mine about a mile from our house. I happen by there often to watch the sun and the sunsets and the different colors on the prairie.
This old rotten fence post is my number one. It was swaying in the breeze the day I took this photo..he lost his bottom.
This coil of barbed wire is my zero.
Put together they combine to make a ten:)
