This is one of my climbing roses, William Baffin (if I recall correctly) a Canadian Rose..no fuss no muss ones..I give them no care what so ever..they do well all on their own. I have old metal wagon wheels for them to climb..they do not like the heat of the metal. So they grow more out than up. Check out more macros here:)
One of my favorite flowers!
ReplyDeleteInteresting.
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty and interesting about them "avoiding" the wagon wheels. I hope one day to get a good camera. I love these macro shots.
ReplyDeleteCool pic and story..:-)
ReplyDeletegorgeous
ReplyDeleteCanadian eh?
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I don't know anyone who ever says that, why do we get pegged with it?
Jen
Hi Jen, YES eh! If you are from Minnesota..you want to grow the Canadian series of roses..one series was called the Explorer series..they are cold hardy enough and usually grown on their own rootstock that they have half a chance in Minnesota!:)
ReplyDeleteI can smell it!
ReplyDeleteI'm fond of the Explorer roses myself. Henry Hudson does very well at the end of the sidewalk. It's the white one.
