The Sunday Stills Challenge this week was dogs.
Perfect! Chance is ever so patient with me…although sometimes he gets a little bored.
Snow makes a perfect background for Border Collie photographs! Have a great week everyone.

Congratulations Sunday Stills you are five years old..good job Ed and Linda too!
The challenge this week was pets.
Of course that means Chance.
I took this just a little bit ago. December 8, 2013 It was snowing just a bit.
Chance goes along to get the mail every morning and on Sundays he has to go for a long walk. He has a routine and likes to follow it every day.
He is my constant companion outdoors.
He is my husbands best buddy…they do everything together. However Chance draws the line at chainsaws and chains, if my husband gets out a chain Chance comes to the house. One time my husband was in the truck pulling stumps and Chance didn’t like it at all. As for the chainsaw..Chance doesn’t like trees that fall over.
When you see Chance a ball is never far away!
Chance is a great dog. He was nine years old in October. He gets a little gimpy some days in the cold weather. He is a house dog…and is well trained, if he has to go out he will pester you or whine quietly. We love him very much and cannot imagine life without him.
Have a good week everyone!
I took this photo last night in town. The tree is up and lit. The Challenge this week in Sunday Stills was a a night shot.
Yes in this little town we can park in the center of Main Street. Have a good week everyone!
The Sunday Stills Challenge this week was to take one photograph of our favorite subject.
Well I bet you all can guess who my favorite subject is??
Well Chance our Border Collie! Surprise surprise! Here he is at an old bridge trying to hide from my camera.
Have a good week everyone:)
The Sunday Stills Challenge this week was the color blue. Ed said to go for something other than the sea and sky. Here are my picks!
Our neighbors Australian Shepherd has blue eyes…his name it Putzer…Putz for short.
We saw this bike along the roadside one day strung up in a tree. Note the old bait bucket is now a flower pot.
Have a good week everyone! :).
The Sunday Stills Challenge this week was bird houses.
The Bluebird houses are empty now. Two batches of babies were raised out of this Bluebird house last summer.
I love to watch the Bluebirds come and go feeding their young. This photo was taken in the spring of the year.
Have a good week everyone:)
The Sunday Stills Challenge this week was to share some Road Side Signs.
Here are a few area signs. Yes that is snow in the air.
Hope you all have a great week:)
The Sunday Stills Challenge this week was Fall Color.
Most of the colorful leaves have fallen here in Minnesota. BUT I did take some photos earlier this month.

The Sunday Stills Challenge this week is birds. We have lots of Bald Eagles in the area. They are always out hunting for road kill.
We also have Wild Turkeys.
Most of our summer birds have migrated out. We still have Nuthatches, Chickadees and Woodpeckers that will stay the entire winter. I think they are relieved to have the place to themselves after the “tourist” birds left.
More than likely Canada Geese heading south.
Have a good week everyone:)
The Sunday Stills Challenge this week was boats.
A boat on a boat lift on September 21, 2013.
Boats headed to Star Island on Cass Lake. July 4, 2013.
Star Island is a great place to go if you like a crowded beach.
Star Island 2012.
Have a great week everyone. This is my last week at work before we close for the winter! Yeah! :)
The challenge this week was watershots. I live in Minnesota. We have 10,000 lakes, but I chose to head down to the river to get some photos.
The Water Lilies are just about done.
Down at Heartland Park I found these Canada Geese on Fishhook River. That is the old water tower in the background.
I moved over a few feet and captured the new water tower.
My best shot of the sparkling blue water.
Have a great week everyone! :)
The challenge this week for Sunday Still was head shots.

I don’t do too much in photoshop. Sometimes I tweak the color or exposure a bit and crop.
Here is the original photo.
A black and white rendition.
I am going to try to keep up once again, I have five more weeks of work and then the museum closes for the winter. I am looking forward to a break. Have a good week everyone:)
