 I don't make a resolution or goal for the New Year.  Instead I make a one or two word intention. 

This year my word is "be"  be in the moment, be kind, be patient, be bitchy if all else fails, be a good advocate for my husband.

 I love making hand made things.  Here are just a few things I have made or helped make this year. 

I made a custom car seat cover for my husbands 1959 Desoto Firesweep.  

I made crochet bags for stocking stuffers! 

My husband woodcarved Gnomes for Christmas ornaments, I helped with finish work and painted them.

Homemade is the best!

 This is a beautifully framed photograph of my husbands Father that hangs on our daughters Christmas tree.   He was a young man sitting on a bale of cotton someplace in the South in the late 1930's.  He died just after his 80th birthday in 1994.

 I almost skipped this challenge.  I am not a fan of photos of myself.  I don't wear makeup, I don't color my grey hair and I have earned every wrinkle I have.  I rarely take selfies...but here you go!

Mostly light  but I still caught some shadows.

 I took some photos from inside the Polaris Ranger on one of our trail rides this weekend.  We go for a ride just about everyday! 

We live in an area where there are many trails to ride.   Ride Command keeps track for us.

 This was a hard challenge.  However my grandson has a cat named Phoebe and we saw her on Monday.  A little late but better late than never.  I took the photo with my phone.

Sunday Stills: Dogs

 Since we no longer have a dog, we give our attention to my brothers dog Baxter.

This is his one year old photo.  He is a Miniature Australian Shepherd...he is a character and a work in progress. 

We miss our Chance every day.

He was the best Border Collie ever.

He was my husbands best friend. 

He was with us many years and was well loved. 

We are "dog people" so not having a dog is hard.  We have no plan to get another dog.

 We have an old fence, it used to separate the wildgardens from the parking lot. 

Usually the wildgardens would be full of yellow and purple flowers, with the drought the wildflowers didn't do much this year.

 It had rained and the sidewalk was drying up.  This is outside Fairview Hospital at the university of Minnesota.  The sculptures are called "Dialogue"
